Don Bosco Tech Sulthan Bathery organized industrial visits for students of the Retail Marketing batch to RELIANCE TRENDS MINT MALL on 15th January 2020 for providing them insight and feel of Retail Marketing. Mrs Jincy Biju (Retail Trainer) along with Sarath B Kumar (Trainer) escorted the students from the college. Mr Prasobh Koshy (Manager Reliance Trends Bathery) welcomed the students and give a brief introduction about the whole process of the store. Mr Jishnu the BOH manager also gives a brief idea about the inventory. Mr Junaid Departmental Manager gives a class on customer interaction methods and customer service tips for the students. Industrial visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the business world. Industrial visits also give greater clarity about various management concepts for students as they can practically see how these concepts are put into action. Manufacturing firms visits are useful for students to understand the nuances and realities of the shop floor, which in itself is a rare exposure. By visiting the shop floor they get to understand the risky conditions in which workers work, the people management challenges involved in managing workers apart from getting hands-on technical knowledge. This is the prime reason why we carry out timely field and industrial visits. The visit proved extremely useful for the students as they included the actual aspects of retail marketing.
