A Three Day Basic Electrical Training Programme on Schneider PPT was conducted for the students of Batch 1 Kitchen Trainee and Batch 2 GSA under the Learning to Earning FY 2026–2027 programme. The session was arranged to create awareness and provide basic knowledge about electricity, electrical safety, and electrical components among the students. A total of 24 candidates from both batches attended the programme enthusiastically. The training session was conducted by an instructor from Don Bosco Tech.

During the session, various important topics related to basic electrical concepts were discussed in an interactive manner. Students learned about lighting and electricity experiments, the scientist who promoted the AC power system, and the unit of voltage known as Volt. The instructor explained that a motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy and discussed the full form of DC as Direct Current. Students were also taught that alternating current changes direction periodically. Important safety topics such as grounding to prevent electric shock, the use of PPE during electrical work, and why water should not be used on electrical fires were explained clearly.

The session also covered the use of copper in electrical wiring, the function of capacitors in storing electrical energy, the role of circuit breakers in protecting circuits from overload, and the use of tools such as screwdrivers for tightening screws. Students actively participated throughout the programme and gained valuable practical knowledge and awareness regarding electrical safety and applications.
