First 'Parent Teacher Meeting' held at Don Bosco Tech, Lingarajpuram

With a view to parents understanding the training process and the performances of their ward and trainers’ the family’s situation, Don Bosco Tech Society (Lingarajpuram) called for the first ‘Parent cum Teacher’s Meeting’ on February 29, 2020. This meeting was followed by a cultural program. Fr. Rubin Mathew (Director, DB BEST Academy) steered the whole program.
The program started as per the schedule by invoking God’s blessings. Mr. Kennady (Centre Coordinator) welcomed the parents and trainees. And trainers were also participants among others.
Ms. Baby Elizabeth (Community Mobilizer) spoke about the system of Don Bosco Tech (Lingarajpuram) and the detailed process of mobilization. She also requested the parents to spread awareness about Don Bosco Tech Society’s training and placement to the underprivileged youth with a special mention to Lingarajpuram center.
Later Ms. Lesilen (Trainer, Retail Sales) and Mr. Mario (Trainer, Hospitality) shared about their domains; theory sessions, practical’s, competitions, and other activities. They said, “Encourage your children to spend time every day in studies.” Added, “No matter where in the country they will be placed. Do not worry about the salary package they will receive. It will take care of itself. You just encourage them to be on time and regular for the classes.”
As part of the program, trainees performed various cultural programs that are also aimed at enhancing skills. Mr. Raju and Ms. Parvathi (trainees) performed a duet and Mr. Sanjay and the team danced well, making the program lively.
Fr. Mathew addressed the gathering and gave an orientation to parents about the importance of a three-month-training program. The orientation ended with a question and answers session.
The parents attended the meeting spending time and money. However, it was worth. Finally, they were thankful to Don Bosco Tech (Lingarajpuram) center for helping their children achieve greater heights. They were happy indeed to see the behavioral change in their children. Mr. Kennedy thanked the parents and requested them for continued support.
