World Cancer Day Celebration
04 Feb 2026
On 04 February 2026, Don Bosco Tech Vaduthala observed World Cancer Day with a meaningful and awareness-driven program aimed at educating students about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing not only skilled professionals but also socially responsible individuals.
The program brought together students of the AI Data Quality Analyst batch in an engaging and informative session conducted within the campus. The awareness session highlighted the significance of World Cancer Day and provided valuable insights into the common causes of cancer, early warning signs, and preventive measures. Students were sensitized to the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, and avoiding harmful habits such as tobacco and alcohol consumption. The session encouraged participants to extend this awareness beyond the classroom and become advocates for health within their families and communities.
To deepen engagement and encourage creative expression, a Poster Making Competition was organized around the theme of cancer awareness. Students participated with great enthusiasm, presenting visually compelling and thought-provoking posters carrying powerful messages such as early detection, hope, and prevention. Each creation reflected not only artistic talent but also a clear understanding of the importance of awareness and empathy in addressing serious health challenges.
The posters were displayed across the training center, transforming the campus into a space of reflection, learning, and inspiration. The exhibition served as a constant reminder of the importance of awareness and collective action in the fight against cancer. The judging panel appreciated the originality, clarity, and impact of the students’ work, recognizing their efforts in communicating meaningful messages through creativity.
Beyond the activities, the event fostered a sense of responsibility and compassion among the students. It encouraged them to think beyond themselves and consider their role in promoting health awareness in society. The program concluded with a strong message emphasizing the need for awareness, early action, and collective responsibility in combating cancer.
The World Cancer Day celebration at Don Bosco Tech Vaduthala stood as a powerful reminder that education extends beyond technical skills. It highlighted the importance of awareness, empathy, and proactive action, leaving a lasting impact on all participants and inspiring them to contribute toward building a healthier and more informed society.
