Valedictory Ceremony for trainees of Assistant Electrician at Don Bosco Skill Mission

To felicitate the students on their successful completion Assistant Electrician course, a valedictory function was organized at Don Bosco Skill Mission on June 2, 2019. The dignitaries invited to the function include Mr. Anuj Kohli (General Manager, Hitachi India Ltd), Capt. Kaustav Nath (State Engagement Officer, Karnataka, and Goa, NSDC), Mr. Jai Warrier (Associate Consultant, Sattva) and Fr. Joseph Elavanal (Director, Don Bosco Skill Mission). The staff members and trainees were also present at the certificate distribution ceremony. Don Bosco Tech started this training program to empower unemployed youth in Assistant Electrical course in Bangalore. This project is funded by the Hitachi in association with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Sattva.
The guests were welcomed by Mr. Rufus John Paul (Master Trainer, Electrical) and the trainees of the Assistant Electrical domain. The function started with lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Mr. Rufus briefed the guests about the project overview, starting from mobilization counseling training and placement details of 81 trainees under this project.
Mr. Anuj addressed the gathering by briefing them about the Hitachi and its skill intervention. He said, “There will be a long term relation with Don Bosco Tech in the service for the youth of the nation through the skill intervention. Hitachi made an effort to give best to the least by partnering with Don Bosco Tech.” He interacted with the trainees by asking questions like how they are implementing the training in day to day life, how was the training useful, the difficulties they are facing in the workplace, the aim of the trainees, are they willing to do an advanced course is offered to them. Through this interaction session, he intended to get genuine comments and feedback from the trainees. Trainees spontaneously responded to the question asked to them.
Addressing the trainees, Capt. Kaustav Nath described the value and importance of the certificate they have received. He briefed about the NSDC and its role in empowering the youth of India. He also mentioned about the loans available for the trainees to start a small enterprise. The valedictory function ended with the course completion certificate distribution to the trainees by the dignitaries.
