The inauguration of the Hitachi 2019-20 batches for Assistant Electricians and Domestic Data Entry Operator Domains was conducted on 8 February 2020. The function was presided and inaugurated by Fr. Joseph Elevanal (Director of Don Bosco Skill Mission), and Fr. George Mathew (Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech Society), accompanied by the staff of Don Bosco Skill Mission.

The event proceeded with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and then Fr. George Mathew addressed the gathering briefing about the Don Bosco Tech Society and its functioning in different parts of India. Then followed by some cultural activities by the Trainees. The event was conducted to give awareness about the training and Sponsors for the training. The Batch consists of 60 Trainees, 30 from Assistant Electrician Domain and 30 from Domestic Data Entry Operator Domain. The trainees were divided into eight teams. Each trainee was asked to select the team and the theme for their team name. The trainees took an oath to promote teamwork and keep themselves ready to face the demands of their training.

The event proceeded with a Felicitation speech. Fr. Joseph Elavanal gave motivation for the trainees to start the course. Fr. George Mathew has also introduced the trainees to Don Bosco Tech Society and the networking of the carrier management which gave the trainees clarity about the training. Father also briefed about the Hitachi sponsor's collaboration with the Don Bosco Tech Society. He also highlighted the importance of the certificate that will be issued by the National Skill Development Cooperation, which the trainees would be getting after the completion of their course.

The event helped the newly joined trainees to clarify many of their doubts and it was a good opportunity for them to intensify their views regarding the importance of Education and their career. The event also boosted the confidence level among the trainees to carry out the course successfully.
