Training program for trainers to induct on process and system

A Training of Trainers (TOT) was organized at Don Bosco Skill Mission (Bangalore) on August 5-7, 2019 in which 27 team members from Karnataka, Kerala and Tami Nadu participated. The program was started with the prayer song, and then Fr. Joesph Elavanal, SDB (Director, DBSM) welcomed the trainers and gave an introduction about the training. Ms. Niveditha (Regional Manager – South, Don Bosco Tech) was the resource person to conduct the training. She started to explain about BASE process and then divided the trainers into four groups to get to know about each other. Each group was asked to discuss and propose the expectations from the induction program. After this activity, Mr. Leo Levin started the next session with some energizers and team building activities. The trainers were again divided into five teams and were asked to come up with an activity related to ‘Team Building’.
The second day, Ms. Niveditha began the session by re-capturing the things that had taken place during the first day. She briefed about Don Bosco Tech, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Sector Skill Council (SSC). All the trainers participated had an interactive session on these topics. After this session, she highlighted the Qualification Packs (QPs) and National Occupation Standard (NOS) and how the curriculum is aligned with QPs and NOS. She conducted a role-play on Mobilisation with four teams. After the role-play, the participants were asked to talk about their experience in mobilization and counselling in various areas and with the different people. Ms. Niveditha gave an open chance to the trainers to show the demo of counselling in their areas in front of everyone. She helped them in, what to talk and how to talk with the aspiring youth during mobilization and counselling.
Third day started with recapturing the topics, concepts and activities that had taken place during two days. Ms. Niveditha took up the session to handle and explain the topic ‘Project Deliverables’. She started the session with the Success Stories of each individual related to the topic. She briefed about how to capture the inputs for developing a case study. After this session, she gave a presentation on BOONFACE. She demonstrated the features and usage of BOONFACE which starts with profile creation, HR Module, batch planner, creation, mobilization, enrolment, etc. After that Fr. Elavanal addressed the trainers to show the gratitude and wished everyone to do well. Finally, Fr. Elavanal and Fr. Jose distributed the participation certificates for Training of Trainers (TOT) to all the participants. After the distribution of the certificates, all the trainers were given a feedback form to post their opinions on the three days program. All the trainers submitted their feedback forms and started to depart to their working places.
