Gangadar, embarked on a journey of discovery to the heart of electrical infrastructure, the TSSPDCL 33/11KV Outdoor Sub-Station nestled in the quaint village of Gagillapuram.

The clock struck 10 am as we set foot into the realm of power distribution, greeted by the welcoming permission of Assistant Engineer Mr. Sathish. Guided by the affable operator, Mr. Prahallad, our excursion unfolded like pages from an electrifying narrative.

First stop – the control system room, a sanctuary of power orchestration. Here, amidst a symphony of switches and LED light indicators, Mr. Prahallad unraveled the art of control mechanisms. We marveled at the backup system, a guardian angel during power crises, ensuring uninterrupted supply to the station’s vital organs – transformers, CTs, PTs, and beyond. His advice on safety gear echoed like a mantra in our ears, emphasizing the importance of caution amidst the currents.

With newfound reverence, we approached the power transformers, behemoths that shape-shift the incoming 33KVA power into six nourishing feeders of 11KV. Mr. Prahallad’s explanations painted a vivid picture of power distribution, from the lofty heights of 33/11KV to the intimate embrace of 440/230V. Lightning arresters and grounding became not just technical jargon but shields of protection in our minds.

Amidst this educational odyssey, Mr. Gangadhar, our sage guide, wove threads of wisdom, enriching our understanding with insights that bridged theory with practice.

As the sun traversed its arc, our hearts swelled with gratitude towards AE Sathish and the diligent staff, Mr. Prahallad, for opening the doors of knowledge. Promises of continued collaboration between Don Bosco and TSSPDCL hung in the air, cementing a bond forged in the crucible of shared learning.

With memories captured in the lens and minds, we bid adieu to the Sub-Station, carrying not just certificates of attendance but the spark of enlightenment that ignited our passion for the world of electricity.
