On the morning of November 4, 2019, all hospitality trainees gathered in the AV hall at 9:30 AM. Mr. Shiva Kumar, our hospitality domain trainer, emphasized the importance of this field visit. The trainees were eager and excited to embark on this educational journey.

At 10:00 AM, Mr. Shiva Kumar, Ms. Kalpana, and all the trainees set off on foot to Vishal Prakruthi Resorts, arriving at 11:00 AM. The resort, located near the airport in Annaram, welcomed us warmly. Mr. Srinivas, the manager of Vishal Prakruthi Resorts, greeted us and introduced himself. He invited each trainee to introduce themselves, sharing their names and career goals. Mr. Srinivas was impressed and pleased with their introductions and aspirations.

Mr. Srinivas inquired about the DB-Tech hospitality training, to which the trainees responded confidently, showcasing their developing skills. Satisfied with their answers, Mr. Srinivas engaged in a discussion with Mr. Shiva Kumar about the visit's objectives. He then introduced Mr. Vinod, the resort captain, who took charge of showing us around.

The tour began with the restaurant, where Mr. Shiva Kumar explained table setups, buffet menus, equipment placement, side stations, and dish arrangements. In the store room, we learned about billing procedures and the different types of KOT slips: Pink (Kitchen), White (Captain), and Yellow (Bill Book).

Next, we explored the kitchen, which featured South Indian, Chinese, and Tandoori cuisine, along with a cold storage area. The banquet hall tour included guidance on table setups and food arrangements for various functions. We then visited the swimming pool and outdoor games area, learning about maintenance and guest services.

In the housekeeping and room service section, trainees learned how to maintain cleanliness and organize guest rooms. We then visited the Parshad Hall, suitable for 25 to 50 guests, and Sabah Hall, accommodating 75 to 80 people, each equipped with central AC and detailed arrangements for events.

Finally, we toured the Home Hall, which can host up to 200 guests, and received insights on organizing large functions such as weddings, birthday parties, and sangeet ceremonies.

Mr. Shiva Kumar provided detailed explanations throughout the tour, enhancing our understanding of hospitality management. The trainees were thrilled with the knowledge gained and expressed their gratitude to Mr. Srinivas and Mr. Vinod for their guidance.

Before departing, Mr. Srinivas quizzed the trainees, who answered impressively, earning his satisfaction. He extended an offer for the trainees to work at the resort in the food and beverage department after completing their course.

We captured this memorable visit with a group photo alongside Mr. Srinivas, Mr. Vinod, Mr. Shiva Kumar, Ms. Kalpana, and all the trainees. The trainees expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Don Bosco Society, Rev. Fr. Sudhakar, Rev. Fr. Sarath, and the trainers for providing this invaluable learning experience.

We returned to our center at 2:00 PM, enriched with new knowledge and unforgettable memories.
