To remind ourselves of the Women's Empowerment, Don Bosco Tech Society (Gagillapuram, Telangana) celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2020,  at DBHRDC Gagillapuram.
The entire motive of the celebration was to sensitize ‘gender equality’ for a healthy society. It is also to underline the need to educate girls to build a better society.

The theme adopted this year focuses on “An equal world is an enabled world” and asks for people to work together to create a gender-equal world. International Women’s Day asks us to celebrate the success of women in this society.

The Programme kick-started with a short prayer Fr. Sarath (Center Head, DBHRDC). The group dance was performed by the trainees (girls & boys). And then an articulated speech was delivered by two trainees based on the occasion. Trainees mentioned some of the prominent women of India i.e. Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Mother Teresa, Anandi Gopal Joshi, etc.

Fr. Sarath (Centre Head, DBHRD) welcomed Fr. Sudhakar Bellamkonda (Ddirector). Mr. Martin, Miss Anni (Donner of the DBHRDC, Gagillapuram) were the guest of honor.

The female trainees were especially honored on this day by handing over the Boquete of flowers each.  Fr. Sudhakar honored the women, present and absent, with flower Boquete in a bid to felicitate.  After that speech  was given by the Fr. Sudhakar. He spoke about   “An equal world is an enabled world” while he named some of the successful women of India and across the globe.

To enliven the occasion female trainees, as well as trainers, participated in games named Musical Chair, Throwball, and Kabaddi. The program came to an end with a prize distribution to the winners.
