Don Bosco Tech, Janvikas Palda organized an exposure visit for the students of the Office Assistant domain on October  6, 2021. There were 27 students present for the visit. They visited National Skill Training Institute for Women, Indore. The trainers and Br. Sameer Barwa, center coordinator guided the group during the visit. Mr. V. Babu, the principal, welcomed the trainees and briefed them about the institution and its activities.
National Skill Training Institute for Women, Indore is a national Vocational Training institution of the Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Women’s Training cell under Directorate General of Training. This institute for women facilitates regular long-term training courses and short-term training programs in various disciplines. Long-term courses conducted in levels, such as Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS), and recently started Advanced Diploma in IT, Networking and Cloud course.
The students visited and observed the productions of the different departments such as communication lab, computer lab, fashion designs, advanced computer technology, etc. Mrs. Polly, in charge of the communication department, guided the students and took them to different computer sections. She took them to the communication center, computer lab, and fashion design lab. She explained about each department and its activities. She also took the students to the fashion designing area where clothes are structured and designed on the computer. Mrs. Polly also explained to the students of various job opportunities of the Office Assistant domain.
The students had good exposure to the institution as they observed the programs. The staffs of the institution were very welcoming and cooperative in their approach made students feel comfortable to ask for clarifications. Students were happy with the exposure visit.
