Exposure Visit of Assistant Beauty Therapist domain to the National Skill Training Institute for Women, Indore

For the 23 students of the Assistant Beauty Therapist (ABT) domain at Don Bosco Tech Janvikas, Palda has organized an exposure visit to the NSTI (W) (National Skill Training Institute for Women), Indore, on October 6, 2021. The trainers and Br. Sameer guided the group during the visit. When we reached the institution, Mr. V Babu, the principal, welcomed us and briefed us about the institution and its activities.
NSTI(W)(National Skill Training Institute for Women), Indore, is a national Vocational Training institution of Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Women’s Training cell under Directorate General of Training. This reputed institute for women facilitates regular long-term training courses and short-term training programs in various disciplines. They conduct Long-term courses at different levels. Such as Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS), and recently started Advanced Diploma in IT, Networking and Cloud course.
The students visited the fashion design and beauty parlor department. Mrs. Manisha Varma, in charge of the beauty parlor, took the students to the beauty parlor, where she explained to them about makeup with different themes such as parties, weddings, acting, etc. She explained the role of beauticians in the movie industry and the growing demand for beauticians. Students could go from basic to advance level and after completing the course, they could even open a personal salon and earn money for their livelihood. Students got the opportunity to attend a live demo sessions where students demonstrated their skills.
The students had good exposure to the institution as they observed the programs. The staffs of the institution were very welcoming and cooperative in their approach, which made our students feel comfortable to ask for clarifications. They were very active and asked many questions. Students were content with the exposure visit.
