Don Bosco Tech Janvikas Palda has organized an exposure visit for the 24 students of the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (ISMO) domain on October 6, 2021. They visited NSTI (W) (National Skill Training Institute for Women), Indore. The trainers and Br. Sameer guided the group during the visit.

Mr. V. Babu, the principal, welcomed us and briefed us about the institution and its activities.

NSTI(W)(National Skill Training Institute for Women), Indore is a national Vocational Training institution of Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Women’s Training cell under Directorate General of Training. This reputed institute for women facilitates regular long-term training courses and short-term training programs in various disciplines.

The long-term courses are of different levels, such as Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS), and recently started Advanced Diploma in IT, Networking and Cloud course.

The students of the ISMO domain visited the fashion design, cloth dyeing, and stitching department. Mrs. Jyoti, a staff member, guided the students to different labs. The first visit was to the Fashion design section, and all have got excited to see the design was being printing on the computer. They also do the designing and sketching of clothes there. The second we stopped at the colouring section where those clothes were dyeing with different designs. Mrs. Jyoti explained every single process of their work. She told me how computers and ideas are helpful in the textile trade.

The staff over there were very welcoming and cooperative. Students were happy with the visit as they observed and learned the process of making clothes. They asked many questions for clarification.
