Don Bosco Tech, Jan Vikas Society, Palda, Indore organized an exposure visit for the trainees of Assistant Beauty Therapists (ABT) on April 1, 2022. The trainees of the ABT domain visited Lakme Academy, Vijay Nagar of the city accompanied by the trainers Mrs Pooja Yadav and Mr Avinesh Tripathy, and the centre in-charge Fr. Roy Thomas.

On arrival, Rupali (Manager) welcomed all and gave a short overview of the academy. She gave brief detail about the academic programs too. After that, she took the trainees to the parlour and salon, explaining the equipment and its uses.

Further, she took a session for the trainees on the following topics: skincare, hair styling, hair cutting, modelling, and body massage. She said, “There are many types of hair cutting and different styles. Girls should make a hairstyle according to the occasion or function.” Speaking about the scope she said that there are different job opportunities in the beauty and wellness sector. “Those who are in this line would get jobs of make-up artist, beauty instructor, fashion designer or even one can open a parlour,” said the manager. Adding, “There is a high demand in the market.”

If the visit was a success, it was because of the detailed planning done by the staff of Lakme Academy. Trainees felt that the visit was very helpful for them. They also got the opportunity to attend demo classes and practice hair cut in the salon. They learned to use different types of equipment for different purposes. Trainees were grateful to the Academy and Don Bosco Tech Society for organizing a visit.
