An online interview for job placement was conducted on 27th January for the students of the Assistant Beauty Therapist trainees with Taj Jiva Spa, Bangalore. The purpose of the interview was to assess the candidates’ suitability for professional roles within the luxury wellness and spa industry. A total of three students participated in the online selection process.

The interview was conducted virtually by Dr. Dilip Sathe, representing Taj Jiva Spa, Bangalore. Each candidate was assessed individually, with emphasis placed on their foundational knowledge of beauty therapy and spa treatments, professional grooming and hygiene standards, communication skills, customer-handling abilities, and overall attitude, confidence, and willingness to learn. The interviewer also evaluated the students’ understanding of workplace ethics and service excellence expected in a premium spa environment. During the interaction, students were guided on industry expectations and informed about potential career opportunities within high-end wellness brands.

The interview provided the students with valuable exposure to an online recruitment process and helped enhance their confidence and professional communication skills. It also enabled them to gain a clearer understanding of the standards and expectations associated with luxury wellness organizations. Trainees were happy and motivated as Dr. Dilip has listened to them but also share about wellness industry and career progression in Beauty and wellness sector and the scope of learning to progress in their career.

The online interview was conducted smoothly and proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience for the students.
