FIELD VISIT IN HOTEL SUNSHINE

On February 25th, 2020, Don Bosco Tech's Food & Beverage Service trainees embarked on an enlightening journey at the prestigious Hotel Sun Shine in Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal. The excursion, tailored for the students of Accenture Phase 10 Batch 2, aimed to provide a firsthand understanding of the hospitality industry's intricacies.
Nestled in the heart of Berhampore, Hotel Sun Shine, a renowned 4-star establishment, welcomed 15 eager candidates for a day filled with discovery and inspiration. From the moment they stepped into the lobby, the trainees were enveloped by the hotel's exquisite ambiance, setting the stage for a memorable learning experience.
Led by Mr. Ramkrishna, the Restaurant Manager, the students embarked on a comprehensive tour, delving into various departments that form the backbone of any successful hotel. Beginning with the Front Office, often regarded as the face of hospitality, they gained insights into guest interactions and reservation management.
Venturing into the kitchen, hailed as the "Heart of a Hotel," students marveled at the organized chaos and learned about the meticulous processes that culminate in culinary delights. Moving on to the bar cum restaurant area, they discerned the nuances between different service areas and mastered the art of table setup, an integral aspect of dining experiences.
The exploration continued as the students explored the banquet halls, where they discovered the intricacies of event management and menu planning. Each setup unveiled a new facet of hospitality, broadening their understanding of the industry's multifaceted nature.
Following the tour, Mr. Ramkrishna orchestrated an engaging interactive session, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Alongside fellow staff members, he demonstrated table setups and elucidated the intricacies of kitchen apparatus, leaving the students enlightened and inspired.
