Guest Lecture by Restaurant Manager
21 Oct 2019
It was a wonderful day to meet our great lecturer, Mr. Alok Chitrakar (Manager, Mirch Masala Restaurant) on October 21, 2019. He was there in Don Bosco Tech, Berhampore to share his experiences for the students’ benefits and ease of assumptions about the future forthcoming career adventure.
Mr. Chitrakar had a series of interactions with the 20 students of Accenture Phase 10 Batch 1 and was very glad to spend his valuable time with the trainees of the hospitality domain. With an immense experience in various branded hotels & restaurants, he explained that every candidate should work for at least three years in any department to gain adequate knowledge of the industry. He informed students to keep an open mind and adaptive nature to gain knowledge from wherever they can and observe each and everything to use for their good. He encouraged the trainees by saying that comprehensive knowledge will enable them to achieve a prestigious post in our hotel. He shared his own story of hardships to inspire and gave insight to students as what they may face and what they need to be prepared for as he believes that hard work and competency can lead our way to success. He also explained the basic Dos and Don’ts of workplace and workplace protocols.
His words conveyed the message with sheer clarity and what added more to the clarity was the determination with which he spoke.
After an hour of a guest lecture, there was an open floor discussion. In the discussion, the trainees had an opportunity to clear their doubts regarding the workplace.
The manager concluded by wishing good luck to trainees for their brighter future ahead and also extended his hands by assuring that he would provide full support by absorbing the students of Don Bosco Tech in a well-reputed organization as he always does. It was indeed an informative and aspiring session.
