Parent Teacher Meeting held at Don Bosco Tech (Berhampore)
28 Sep 2019
“Parent –Teacher Meeting” is an inevitable part of any student's journey. This sync up helps parents to know about the academic performance of their children and also reflects on specific areas of improvement. This meeting is used to deliver the school's goals, mission, and vision to respected parents so that they can bestow their consensual blessing and gradual encouragement for their children, also with keeping in mind to increase the heartfelt bond between a teacher and a parent.
“Parent –Teacher Meeting” was organized on September 28, 2019, inside the premises of Don Bosco Tech, Berhampore with huge participation. The goal was to have an interactive session with parents about their child’s future.
The meeting began with Mr. Souvik Mitra (Trainer, Communicative English & ITEs) welcoming all the parents. Fr. Anthony (Center in-charge) also proactively interacted and explained the parents about placement and the importance of sending away the students for jobs. He insisted that the students must be faithful and sincere in life using the opportunities in the best possible manner, to come up in life. He shared the history of the Don Bosco Tech Society and informed about its achievements. He said, “I take pride in being a family member of the Don Bosco Tech Society. I am blessed with these trainers who are working night and day just to deliver success in your children’s plate. All you have to do is just encourage them to feed themselves and take the benefit. We started this journey keeping in mind that everybody cannot afford the expensive higher studies but there should be no potential wasted.” With a huge round of applause, the father concluded his words of wisdom.
After that Mr. Mitra added on saying, “The main problem lies within yourselves that you as a parent sometimes fail to hold strong the sail. You think that you are not as much educated as your child, thus you stop asking what’s happening in his/her life after a certain age. That’s why students also don’t take time to explain to you because you didn’t take any interest in the first place.” He urged parents to take interest in their child’s life as it’s a huge leap towards his career and they should know everything and that’s where effective communication plays a role which is lacking in most of us. He requested parents to stop assuming and start asking questions to their child and start discussing with the teachers. After this speech, most of the parents felt motivated and started asking questions and thus making this day successful.
While concluding, Mr. Atanu Biswas expressed the words of gratitude to the parents and the trainees for attending this meeting.
