21 Jun 2022
On June 21, 2022, the spirit of unity and well-being reverberated through the halls of Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur as the International Day of Yoga was joyously celebrated. Themed "Yoga for Humanity," the event commenced with Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, the Centre Coordinator, offering a poignant introduction to the significance of Yoga Day. It was not merely a celebration, but a profound opportunity for trainees to grasp the intrinsic value of yoga in their lives, fostering harmony between mind and body.
Amidst the gathering, Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera, a seasoned Trainer, delved into the profound impact of negative thoughts on individuals, elucidating how they disrupt hormonal balance and culminate in stress and confusion. Stressing the importance of cultivating purity of thought, Mr. Behera illuminated the path towards positivity, advocating regular practice of yoga and meditation for holistic well-being.
The session came alive as trainers and trainees engaged in a series of invigorating asanas, with enthusiastic participation resonating throughout. Beyond physical exertion, the event transcended into a platform for artistic expression and intellectual discourse, with trainees showcasing their understanding of yoga through vibrant paintings and engaging group discussions.
The profound sense of fulfillment was palpable as trainees embraced the global celebration of yoga, pledging to integrate it into their daily lives and serve as ambassadors of "Yoga for a better and healthy life for humanity." As the sessions concluded, a collective vow emerged among the participants to weave yoga seamlessly into their routines, nurturing not only physical fitness but also emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
