Introduction
A Financial Literacy Programme was conducted at Don Bosco Tech for the trainees of ITCCE Batch 4 to develop their understanding of basic financial concepts and responsible money management. The session focused on helping trainees understand the importance of budgeting, saving, banking, digital payments, and making informed financial decisions. The activity aimed to equip students with practical financial knowledge that can support them in managing their income and expenses effectively.
Objectives of the Activity
The main objectives of conducting the Financial Literacy Programme were:

• To develop basic knowledge of personal financial management
• To understand the importance of budgeting and saving
• To introduce trainees to basic banking services and digital banking
• To promote safe and responsible use of digital payment methods

Activity Description
The Financial Literacy Programme was conducted through an interactive and informative session. Trainees were introduced to basic financial concepts such as income, expenses, savings, budgeting, bank accounts, interest, loans, and digital transactions.
The trainer explained the importance of preparing a monthly budget and maintaining a balance between income and expenditure. Practical examples were used to help trainees understand how to manage their earnings, identify unnecessary expenses, and develop regular saving habits.
The session also covered basic banking services and the use of digital payment methods. Trainees were made aware of the importance of keeping banking credentials, PINs, passwords, and OTPs confidential and being cautious while carrying out online financial transactions. The importance of making informed decisions before taking loans or using financial services was also discussed.
Student Response and Outcomes
