The session featured Mrs. Anita, the Placement Coordinator; Mr. Amos, the State Operation Coordinator; and Mrs. Esther, the MIS Coordinator. Trainers Mr. Basil, Bikram, and Pankaj from the Rangajan center, along with 20 trainees, attended the meeting.
The purpose of the orientation was to underscore the importance of training and placement, preparing trainees for the journey ahead. Key points emphasized during the session included the necessity of regular attendance in online classes and the willingness to work outside one's home state. Trainees were advised to have essential documents ready, such as ID cards, bank accounts, and educational certificates when applying for jobs.
Communication skills, particularly in English and Hindi, were highlighted as crucial for employability. The coordinators encouraged trainees to put in the effort to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge, fostering a hardworking, punctual, and dedicated attitude to adapt and thrive in any work environment. Flexibility and adaptability were stressed as vital traits for navigating the challenges of life and work outside their familiar settings.
The session also addressed the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, stressing the importance of following safety guidelines to stay safe. The team shared practical advice on how to live with the virus, adhering to the precautionary measures recommended by the government.
In addition to the theoretical aspects, the team explained the requirement for a compulsory 10-day practical training session scheduled for November. It was clarified that staying in the hostel during this period was optional.
Mr. Amos concluded the session with motivational words, urging trainees to focus on their training and develop skills that would make them employable and self-reliant in the future. The session ended on a positive note with a vote of thanks from Sir Bikram, leaving the trainees inspired and better prepared for the road ahead.
