On March 29, 2024, a guest lecture about COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS was organized for Batch 01 of Automotive Telecallers at the Rangajan center, sponsored by ASDC Hero Moto Corp. Mr. Prem Sagar Ekka, a former coordinator with Caritas India in Assam, delivered the lecture. He covered topics such as personal safety, hygiene, and ways to prevent HIV/AIDS.
Mr. Ekka emphasized the importance of maintaining both mental and physical health by keeping ourselves and our surroundings clean to avoid illness. He provided tips on protecting oneself from HIV/AIDS and COVID-19, such as avoiding sharing needles, using protection during sex, wearing masks in public, and maintaining cleanliness at home.
He also stressed the need for staying updated with vaccinations and encouraged open discussions about HIV/AIDS, urging against stigmatizing infected individuals. Mr. Ekka addressed common health concerns like vaginal discharge and explained how HIV/AIDS spreads.
To prevent HIV or COVID-19, Mr. Ekka recommended using protection during sex, staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet, and avoiding close contact with sick individuals. He advised anyone uncertain about their health to seek medical assistance from nearby hospitals or healthcare centers.
Through his lecture, Mr. Ekka aimed to equip everyone with knowledge on how to stay healthy and protect themselves from viruses.
