The common guest lecture for the trainers of Don Bosco Tech Society (Rangajan, Assam) was held on December 4, 2019. Ms. Khusbu Begum (Trainer, Assam Skill Development Mission, Rangajan) was the resource person of the day. She was glad, as she spent the time to talk to and motivate, the trainees during her visit to the center.
At first, she introduced herself and explained her profession and also took the introduction of the students. As she kick-started her talk, at first, underlined the SYSTEM of Don Bosco, ‘a great system’, for she is also an alumnus of this great organization. She recalls to her school days reading the biography memoir of Don Bosco said, “Salesians mostly work for the upliftment of the underprivileged youth; be it education or social service.” Added “How lucky and privileged you are. Just that you are here surely you will acquire skills and polish yourselves. Skills the Salesians impart will help shape your future and become self-reliant.” She thus encouraged trainees to keep learning and make the best use of the opportunity in hand.
Ms. Begum said, “You are grown up and responsible enough to take care of yourselves and the family. So, now is the time to work hard towards becoming a successful person,” as she concluded her interaction with the trainees.
At the end of the session, the trainers were given some time to raise their queries in which a few took courage to ask. Ms. Begum categorically handled one and all.
