On 05 March 2026, as part of the 20-year celebration of Don Bosco Tech Society, the JVS Palda center carried forward its mission of empowering youth by organizing an extensive Skill Training Awareness Outreach Program across nearby schools and local communities in Indore. The initiative was designed to spread awareness about the importance of vocational education and to inspire young individuals to explore skill-based career pathways.
The outreach team, comprising enthusiastic DB Tech trainees, visited Government Higher Secondary School Chitawat and other nearby institutions, engaging with students from Classes 8 to 12. Through interactive sessions, they introduced learners to the wide range of opportunities available through skill development programs. Sharing their own journeys, DB Tech students spoke about how training had transformed their confidence, capabilities, and career prospects, making the message both relatable and impactful.
The program extended beyond schools into surrounding communities, where trainees interacted with youth and parents, addressing their questions and concerns regarding employment opportunities and vocational training. These conversations were enriched with inspiring success stories of alumni, illustrating how skill education can open doors to sustainable livelihoods and personal growth.
A distinctive feature of the outreach was the live demonstration of practical skills. Trainees showcased hands-on activities from various trades, including computer operations, basic grooming techniques, napkin folding, and table setting. These demonstrations captured the attention of the audience, making learning tangible and engaging while highlighting the real-world applicability of the training offered at DB Tech.
The initiative not only created awareness but also empowered the trainees themselves. By taking on the role of ambassadors, they developed confidence, communication, and leadership skills, gaining valuable experience in public interaction and knowledge sharing. The enthusiastic response from schools and community members reflected the effectiveness of the program, with many expressing interest in learning more about the opportunities provided by Don Bosco Tech Society.
The Skill Training Awareness Outreach Program emerged as a powerful and impactful highlight of the 20-year celebrations, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment. It left a lasting impression by demonstrating that skill education is not just a pathway to employment, but a catalyst for transformation, dignity, and a brighter future.
