On January 25th, 2023, our institute buzzed with a vibrant celebration, marking both Himachal Statehood Day and Republic Day. Led by our esteemed center coordinator, Mr. Lal Chand, the entire faculty and student body gathered to commemorate these significant milestones in India's history.
Mr. Lal Chand, with his characteristic enthusiasm, delved into the rich history behind Himachal Pradesh's statehood, which was achieved on this very day in 1971, solidifying its place as the 18th state of India. He illuminated the pivotal role played by Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, a luminary freedom fighter and social reformer, whose vision and tireless efforts carved out a distinct identity for Himachal Pradesh. As the former Chief Minister, Dr. Parmar's legacy remains etched in the annals of Himachal's history, particularly in the establishment of Himachal Day.
Transitioning seamlessly, Mr. Lal Chand shifted focus to Republic Day, a momentous occasion observed nationwide on January 26th. With eloquence, he narrated the transformative journey that culminated in the adoption of the Indian Constitution, replacing the colonial Government of India Act 1935 and heralding India's status as a Republic Nation.
Amidst this historical backdrop, Mr. Lal Chand delivered a stirring speech on the theme of "Youth Power," igniting a spark of inspiration among the students. This was complemented by impassioned speeches on patriotism and a collective rendition of the national anthem, underscoring the spirit of unity and pride.
Adding layers of creativity and expression, students took the stage, delivering poignant speeches, reciting soul-stirring poems, and harmonizing patriotic melodies, weaving a tapestry of fervor and patriotism.
In this amalgamation of commemoration and festivity, January 25th, 2023, emerged not just as a date on the calendar, but as a testament to the enduring spirit of a nation and the indomitable power of its youth.
