Guest Lecture for the trainees of Alma Mater

Listening to alumni can be more impactful than anyone else. With this view in mind, Don Bosco Tech Society (Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh) invited Ms. Vandana Devi ( Alumni, Sales Associate) to interact with the ongoing Sales Associate domain trainees on February 22, 2020.
The meeting began at 11:00 am in which Mr. Sunil Kumar (Center Coordinator) and Mr. Mahavir Singh (Trainer, Sales Associate) both welcomed the alumni. Mr. Sunil mentioned the purpose of the gathering. With this briefing, Ms. Vandana began her interaction. She said she is working as a Customer Service Representative at Vodafone Mini Store which is located in the scenic beauty of Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. She spoke articulately on Customer Handling Etiquette. She mentioned the challenges and hardships she faced while stating her current job profile. She also briefly explained on do’s and don’ts of a customer service representative.
Explaining the scope in the retail sector, Ms. Vandana said, “Retail industry has emerged as one of the fastest-growing, vibrant, and profitable industries with the definite enormous expansion in the next few years’ in the country with the demand for trained professional in the field.” She added, “One can take up a job depending on their interest and aptitude since the retail industry’s activities range from marketing to branding. This scope makes profession in the retail industry one of the most sought after careers right now in India.”
Students raised their doubts and concerns about the job they are going to soon take-up and asked for his word of advice and inputs. In the end, Ms. Vandana thanked the whole team of Don Bosco Tech (Nalagarh) for giving her a chance to share her experience and to meet them.
