Don Bosco Tech, Hospet organized an enriching and thought-provoking guest lecture on 16th June 2025, offering students a valuable opportunity to engage directly with an experienced industry professional and gain practical exposure beyond the classroom. The session was coordinated by the dedicated training team of Don Bosco Tech, whose continued efforts ensure that students remain closely aligned with real-world career expectations.

The lecture was delivered by Ms. Zareena, Senior HR at First Focus, who addressed the theme “Selection Process and Interview Preparation”. Her session guided students through the intricate expectations of the corporate world, bringing to light the evolving parameters by which candidates are assessed. With a blend of candid insights, real interview scenarios, and examples from industry practice, she helped students better understand what organizations truly look for during hiring.

Students from the programs IT Customer Care Executive and Digital Mitra attended the session and benefitted greatly from the interactive approach. They were introduced to common interview questions, strategies for professional presentation, and methods to showcase skills with confidence. The session emphasized not just interview performance but also preparation, mindset, and the ability to articulate one’s strengths effectively.

The lecture proved to be an eye-opener, helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace requirements. Participants gained a clearer understanding of how industry operations function, what employers expect from fresh candidates, and how they can position themselves competitively in an increasingly demanding job market. Many students shared that the session boosted their confidence and gave them practical tools to prepare for upcoming career opportunities.

Beyond student learning, the event strengthened the institution’s engagement with the industry. Such collaborations enhance Don Bosco Tech’s commitment to producing job-ready professionals and open pathways for future cooperation in training and placement initiatives.

The event stands as a positive reminder of the importance of continued industry exposure. Moving forward, Don Bosco Tech aims to organize more such insightful sessions, encourage students to apply their learning in practical environments, and nurture partnerships that benefit both students and employers.
