# Report on Batch Inauguration and Parents' Meeting

Don Bosco Tech, Hospet successfully organized the *Batch Inauguration Programme* for the new batches of *Digital Mitra* and *IT-Customer Care Executive (IT-CCE)* on *28 July 2026, followed by a **Parents' Meeting*. The programme was attended by students, parents, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The programme was graced by *Dr. H.K. Shankaranand, Principal, TMAEs Polytechnic, and **Mr. Aravinda, Principal, Guru Kottureshwara ITI College, Hospet, as the Chief Guests. The event was also blessed by the presence of **Fr. Roshan D'sa, Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Salesian Society, Hospet; Fr. Michael, Administrator of Don Bosco Salesian Society, Hospet; Fr. Saji George, Principal of Don Bosco ICSE School, Hospet; and Fr. C.A. Francis, Director of the Social Action Center, Don Bosco Salesian Society, Hospet.*

The programme was gracefully anchored by *Ms. Bhagya, Trainer of the Digital Mitra course. The guests, parents, and students were warmly welcomed by **Mr. Sebastian, Trainer of Tailoring and Fashion Designing. A special video presentation highlighting the **growth and journey of Don Bosco Professional Academy (DBPA) and Don Bosco Tech, Hospet*, was showcased, giving the audience an overview of the institution's achievements and impact on youth skill development.

During the programme, certificates were distributed to the students who had successfully completed their training, while the newly enrolled students of the Digital Mitra and IT-CCE batches received their study kits, marking the beginning of their learning journey.

Addressing the gathering, *Fr. Roshan D'sa* encouraged the newly admitted students to remain committed to their goals, work hard, and build successful careers. He motivated them to move forward with confidence and make the best use of the opportunities provided by Don Bosco Tech.

In his keynote address, *Dr. H.K. Shankaranand* emphasized the importance of skill development and continuous self-growth. He encouraged students to focus on learning skills that would help them build a successful future. He also appealed to parents to support and guide their children in choosing skill-based education. Stressing the importance of physical and mental well-being, he advised students to take care of their health and reduce excessive smartphone usage. He highly appreciated the dedicated service of Don Bosco Tech and congratulated the faculty members for their commitment to transforming the lives of young people through skill training.

*Mr. Aravinda*, Principal of Guru Kottureshwara ITI College, Hospet, encouraged the students to actively participate in skill development programmes and make full use of the opportunities available at Don Bosco Tech. He also appreciated the continuous support extended by the institution towards empowering youth with employable skills.

Following the inauguration, a *Parents' Meeting* was conducted to create awareness about the training programme, course structure, placement support, and future career opportunities available for the students. *Fr. Francis Xavier, Center Head of Don Bosco Tech, Hospet*, addressed the parents and assured them that the institution provides a safe, supportive, and student-friendly environment, especially for girl students. He appreciated the parents for taking the initiative to guide their children towards a better future by enrolling them in Don Bosco Tech and emphasized the importance of parental support in shaping successful careers.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt *Vote of Thanks* proposed by *Ms. Lakshmi D*, Trainer at Don Bosco Tech, Hospet, expressing gratitude to the chief guests, priests, parents, students, faculty members, and all those who contributed to the success of the event.

The entire programme was successfully organized by the trainers of Don Bosco Tech, Hospet under the able guidance, planning, and support of *Fr. Francis Xavier, Center Head, Don Bosco Tech, Hospet*, making the inauguration and parents' meeting a meaningful and inspiring beginning for the new batches.
