10 Oct 2025
On 10 October 2025, Don Bosco Tech Society organized a highly enriching industrial visit to Sivani Shopping Mall for 25 trainees enrolled in the Domestic Data Entry Operator (DEO) program. The visit was carefully planned to provide students with meaningful exposure to real-time retail operations, enabling them to connect their classroom learning with practical industry experience.
The session was led by Mr. V. Venkateswara Rao, Human Resource Manager, who welcomed the students and delivered an insightful briefing on the mall’s growth journey and operational excellence. He emphasized the significance of maintaining a customer-centric approach, implementing effective marketing strategies, and ensuring high standards of customer service. His interaction offered students a broader perspective on how organizations build trust, retain customers, and sustain success in a competitive retail environment.
During the visit, students were guided through various sections of the mall, where they observed key operational processes such as store layout planning, inventory management, billing systems, and customer interaction practices. They gained valuable knowledge about visual merchandising techniques and how thoughtful product presentation plays a crucial role in enhancing customer engagement and driving sales.
Beyond technical insights, the visit also highlighted the importance of teamwork, communication, and coordination among staff members. Students witnessed how different departments collaborate seamlessly to ensure smooth functioning in a fast-paced retail setting, reinforcing the value of discipline and cooperation in professional environments.
This industrial visit proved to be a transformative learning experience, equipping students with practical knowledge, boosting their confidence, and preparing them for future career opportunities. It stands as a testament to Don Bosco Tech Society’s commitment to holistic skill development and its continuous efforts to shape industry-ready professionals.
