A Parents’ Meet for the Housekeeping Training program of Mawkasiang Center was conducted on 30th March 2026 at Don Bosco Technical School with the participation of students and their parents.

The program began with a welcome address by Miss Airyngkathi Yatbon, Field Coordinator, who introduced DB Tech and spoke about the importance of skill-based training, especially considering the limited job opportunities in Meghalaya. She encouraged the trainees to value the opportunity and utilize the training to build a better future. She also introduced the staff present: Miss Geraldine Bang (Career Advisor), Sir Reuben Z Hnamte (Domain Trainer), and Sir Raymond E Sutnga (CE Trainer).

Sir Raymond E Sutnga then explained the Housekeeping training program, including its duration, curriculum, rules and regulations, and placement process, helping both students and parents understand the structure and benefits of the course.

This was followed by a brief career counselling session by Miss Geraldine Bang, who emphasized the importance of making informed career choices and encouraged the trainees to remain committed and focused on their goals.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment where parents and students clarified their queries. Overall, the meeting was informative and helped strengthen the understanding and cooperation between the institute, students, and their parents.
