An Orientation Programme for the newly enrolled students of Batch 4 and Batch 5 of the Housekeeping Assistant Training was successfully conducted on 8th May 2026 at the Mawkasiang Training Center in the presence of parents, staff members, and dignitaries including Sister Remo (Center Head), Miss Rhiedolcy Diengdoh (Placement Coordinator), Sir Kynpham Shadap (State MIS), Miss Geraldine Bang (Career Advisor), and Rev. Fr. Mahi (Rector of Sinai Spirituality Center, Guwahati).

The programme began with an opening prayer led by Sister Remo, followed by a welcome song by the students. To encourage confidence and communication skills, different students introduced each programme item as MCs. Miss Geraldine delivered the welcome speech, motivating students to remain disciplined and encouraging parents to support their children throughout the training journey.

The event included cultural performances such as dances and songs presented by the students, showcasing their talents and personal growth. Books, bags, and uniforms were ceremonially distributed to the students by the dignitaries, marking the official beginning of their training.

Miss Rhiedolcy addressed the gathering about DB Tech, the objectives of the Housekeeping Assistant Training Programme, skill development, and placement opportunities, especially placements outside the state. She emphasized the importance of parental support in helping students successfully complete the training.

A parent also shared words of gratitude, expressing appreciation to DB Tech for providing valuable opportunities to students from challenging backgrounds. Rev. Fr. Mahi delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of good values, discipline, faith, and knowledge, encouraging students to become responsible and compassionate individuals.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by a student, followed by refreshments. A parents’ meeting was also conducted with the career advisor and trainers to clarify details regarding training, placements, career guidance, and future opportunities. Overall, the programme was meaningful and motivating, strengthening the understanding and confidence of both students and parents regarding the training and placement journey.
