To procure the skills and achieve the original background of the work field, Don Bosco Tech- Karunapuram organized the exposure Field Visit to Vishal mart at New Shyampet, Hanamkonda for Sales Associate Trainees, under Accenture Phase -10, on October 31, 2019.

The cardinal duty of conducting these field visits for the trainees is to get practical knowledge of their respected domain by visiting of work field physically, as well as they may penetrate their objectives of the work field particularly.

Ms. Mamatha Kalakoti (Sales domain trainer) took the trainees along with the staff to Vishal Mart with the concerned person Mr. Naveen (HR of Vishal Mart). Trainees were welcome by the department of Store and they were permitted to observe every department and floor having Store.

Trainees observed every section in the store. In the Vishal mart store, every good was kept in an attractive way and separate sections. There was also the description of discount on some selected items.

Mr. Chary (department manager) assisted the trainees by explaining the Food Items, food section contains vegetables and fruits, grains, pulses, groceries, milk products, etc. He said that "Section responsible person pack each item in KGs (Quantity). The section responsible person should check every day in the morning all the food items as well as frozen items and expiry dates of products like curd, pioneer, milk, ghee, butter, cheese, ice creams, etc. Section responsible person should wear gloves, a cap, shoes. If there is any damage/over ripped fruit and spoiled vegetables, it should be immediately changed from the section and every vegetable and Fruit Should be fresh every day. If a customer wants to buy fruits, then give a cutting sample to taste.”

Then the Trainees observed the Billing session, how to use Credit Cards, Sodexo cards in the field to pay the bills. The observation took place with the permission of HR. The billing process was also explained to the trainees like, how to enter the Barcodes on the products, how to open with an employee Id and clear the billing counter, calculate the billing counter if any shots take place.

Mr. Naveen asked trainees to gather at one place and he asked the questions about what they observed in Store, Trainees, gave the feedback about the store and asked their doubts. He was very fine with trainees and cleared the doubts. He explained the Issues and Challenges in Retail Field specifically as a Sales Executive. Finally, he said that "Retail field offers you a bright future if you do the hard work by following key responsibilities. So prepare yourselves to get a bright future by doing hard work in the Retail field".

At the end of the visit, Trainees were very happy and expressed their gratitude to the Management heads and team members for their cooperation to complete the field visit. The whole management of the store also felt very happy to have an opportunity to explain everything to the Retail trainees, and appreciated the Don Bosco Tech Society for performing such a program to help the needy youth.
