To interface and to perceive the pass out trainees during the lockdown period, Don Bosco Tech Karunapuram, Telangana centre has decided to conduct a Virtual Alumni Meeting on December 23, 2020. The main purpose of conducting alumni meets for the Alumni, is to know about their status due to the Pandemic, many have lost their jobs due to the pandemics and faced many financial issues during the lockdown period. So, in this pathetic condition, the Don Bosco Tech Society wanted to support them and stand for them to show courtesy to give them courage by recruiting them again in several places.
The Alumni meet programme has started at 11.30 AM with a meaningful prayer song and Miss. Arpitha reddy, one of the alumni has organized the complete meet. The prominent guests Rev. Sr. Mercy Kuruvila – Superior of Maria rani complex, Mr Vinod Kumar – State MIS & placement coordinator have taken place as guests for Alumni Meet including centre director and other staff members and past trainees of Karunapuram centre have participated in Alumni meet. With the guests and all the alumni presence have made a great day of conducting virtual alumni meet.
Rev.Sr. Lizama Alexander the centre director, felt so great to have the opportunity to meet all the Alumni virtually, after a long time. She insisted they be placed again with the help and support of the national team of our Don Bosco Tech society. She reminded all the happy movements at the centre and motivated trainees to do not disappoint due to pandemics. She boosted them up by her valuable words to be strong all the time.
Mr Vinod Kumar, the state MIS&Placement Coordinator, interacted with trainees regarding placements. He asked trainees to restart and restore their lives after lockdown to stand by their own feet by start working. He showed some places of vacancies in twin cities and asked to share interested candidates' details soon after finishing the Meet. Meanwhile, he also explained about the Upskilling Training Programme at DBSM.
Many trainees have interested to start over their lives again and some of the trainees have interested to join in upskilling training which is going to be conducted in DBSM. The full sessions were conducted well. Staff trainees and all felt very happy to get interaction with each other and expressed their gratitude to the centre and entire team of society to know about their current status to get support always by Don Boso Tech Society.
