28 Oct 2025
The campus of Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM) came alive on October 28, 2025, as the family gathered for a vibrant and heartwarming Inauguration Program to welcome the new Cloud Computing Batch 5 (CC5) and Guest Service Associate – Food & Beverage Batch 4. The event was not just a formal beginning, but a celebration of hope, talent, and the shared pursuit of excellence.
The ceremony began with the Lighting of the Lamp, a cherished tradition symbolizing the dawn of knowledge and the promise of new beginnings. Faculty members and dignitaries joined together to invoke blessings for a fruitful journey ahead.
Hosted with enthusiasm by the trainers and students, the event carried a spirit of togetherness. Ms. Ashwini, Trainer, extended a warm Welcome Address, her words resonating with encouragement and inspiration for the new learners stepping into their skill development journey at DBSM.
The cultural segment transformed the hall into a space of rhythm, melody, and color. The F&B students opened with a harmonious Group Song, setting a cheerful tone for the day. The CC5 Batch followed with a lively Group Dance that drew cheers from the crowd, their energy reflecting the excitement of new beginnings. A soulful Solo Song by Bhoomika from CC5 touched hearts, adding grace and emotion to the celebration.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the DCOM Batch took the stage with an energetic Group Dance, showcasing teamwork and creativity, followed by a melodious Group Song that echoed through the hall. The F&B students returned for a final Group Dance, closing the cultural performances on a joyous and spirited note.
A moment of deep reflection came with the address by Rev. Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director of DB Tech Society. His message resonated powerfully with the young trainees as he spoke about discipline, passion, and purpose — the pillars that transform skill into service and dreams into achievements. His words reminded everyone of the Don Bosco legacy: to work with heart, skill, and a spirit of service.
As the event drew to a close, Mr. Silvanus Nongdhar, Trainer, proposed a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation and teamwork that made the inauguration truly special.
The day concluded with smiles, applause, and a renewed sense of purpose. The Inauguration of the new batches at Don Bosco Skill Mission was not merely an event — it was a beautiful beginning to a journey of growth, learning, and transformation, guided by the light of the Don Bosco spirit.
