Children’s Day at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore was celebrated on 14 November 2025 with creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community, making it a day to remember across the campus. The celebration opened with a vibrant “Food Without Fire” competition that encouraged innovation, teamwork, and resourcefulness. Students were grouped into ten teams of ten members each and given the challenge of preparing unique and flavorful dishes using ingredients sourced from nearby shops. Representatives from the National, Regional, and State Teams served as judges, evaluating the dishes on creativity, taste, and visual presentation. The competition not only ignited student imagination but also showcased their ability to collaborate and think outside the box.

Following this colorful start, everyone gathered for a formal program that reflected the spirit and purpose of the day. The event began with a warm welcome by the Masters of Ceremony, Ms. Steffi and Ms. Puja, setting a cheerful and engaging tone. Ms. Ashwini delivered the Welcome Speech, after which Fr. Eugene Florence, Director, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. His words emphasized the value, promise, and inherent potential within every child, encouraging students to dream boldly and pursue excellence.

The celebration continued with memorable cultural presentations, including a soulful musical performance by Br. Barnabas Khriam and an energetic dance by Vinod and his team, both adding vibrance and delight to the occasion. The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony followed, honoring students for their outstanding efforts, talents, and contributions. The program came to a close with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Silvanus Nongdhar, expressing gratitude to all participants, staff members, and organizers who made the event a resounding success.

After the formal proceedings, the sense of camaraderie carried into a shared lunch among staff and students. The afternoon was filled with friendly volleyball and throwball matches, where both students and faculty took to the field with spirited participation and sportsmanship.
