Guest Lecture sales associate for both domain

The guest lecture to the Trainee Associate was organized at the Don Bosco Tech Society (Gurdaspur) center. Mr. Rohit, Assistant Manager in airtel payment bank was invited to interact with trainees on February 5, 2021. He made the trainees clear about building a good relationship from the customer to a salesperson at first sight. Mr. Rohit has good experience in handling reputed Companies like United Airlines (MNC), Barclays as Senior Sales Team Leader. He shares his experience with trainees. The session started with a brief introduction to sales and marketing as a job profile.
He shared many inside stories which helped students to learn the facts. He explains related to marketing that how they attracted their customers and what are strategies they were using at the time of sales. He shared many Adobe India Marketing Strategies, the importance of re-positioning, the importance of 4 P’s, Team, Leadership, as he began to interact with the trainees, shared his vast experience of working in multiple retail industries. He spoke about the multiple channels in retail; retail planning, buying, merchandising, and visual merchandising. Pointing the finger out at the future of the industry he said, “There is and will be much demand for a salesperson in both retail and marketing field.” He distinctly explained the role of a salesperson as handling the varied capacity of customers impressively.
Mr. Rohit also told the trainees the tactics to interact with the customer; from understanding their needs to meeting their demands. Changing the trend, he said doing business has shifted from window shopping to online. Towards the end of the discussion, he said that the retail industry is unique. It requires the human aspect which is of prime importance. At the end of the session, Mr. Rohit thanked the trainees for paying undivided attention to his shared session as he wished them the best of luck in their future.
