On July 15, 2023, Don Bosco Tech's Chandigarh center joined the global celebration of World Youth Skills Day, an initiative by the United Nations aimed at fostering skill development among young people worldwide. This special day not only champions the cultivation of diverse talents but also strives to eradicate gender inequality in all areas of life. It highlights the critical importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement in standing out in today's competitive landscape.
Our celebration offered a dynamic platform for students to showcase their talents across various disciplines, including painting, drawing, and digital poster making. The event was a vivid display of our students' enthusiasm and creativity, as they participated with remarkable zeal and demonstrated their skills.
The activities were structured as team exercises, with students collaborating in pairs or trios. This approach underscored the significance of teamwork and collective effort. As trainers, we meticulously prepared all necessary materials in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
The inclusive spirit of the day was evident as both boys and girls participated eagerly. Staff members were present to assist and encourage the students, fostering a lively and supportive atmosphere. The event concluded with a photo session, capturing the joyful and motivated faces of our trainees.
For many students, this celebration was their first introduction to World Youth Skills Day, offering them newfound knowledge and a deeper understanding of its significance. The event not only underscored the importance of such commemorations but also inspired both trainees and trainers to continuously value and promote skill development. It was a day filled with learning, fun, and inspiration, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
