A spirit of joy and renewed purpose filled the campus of Don Bosco Tech Yadgir on October 7, 2025, as the institution hosted a remarkable dual celebration — the welcoming ceremony of the first batch of the CCE Non-Voice course for the academic year 2025–26, and the post-birthday celebration of Ms. Pratibha, one of the center’s most dedicated team members. The afternoon unfolded with warmth, gratitude, and inspiration, reflecting the true ethos of Don Bosco: empowering youth through skill, service, and solidarity.

The event commenced promptly at 2:30 PM under the able compering of Mr. Mallikarjun Kurkundi, who set an engaging and enthusiastic tone for the day. Mr. Sharanappa, Coordinator of the Don Bosco Center for Social Action, extended a heartfelt welcome to all dignitaries, trainees, and staff, emphasizing the importance of skill-based education as a transformative tool for the youth of Yadgir.

The inauguration began with a symbolic act of watering a plant — a tradition that beautifully represents growth, sustainability, and nurturing young lives. Fr. Francis Shabu (Director, Don Bosco Yadgir), Mr. Sharanappa C. Amarapur (Coordinator, MIND’S), Mr. Nagappa Gamaga (Coordinator, Foster Care), and Mr. Devindrappa (Coordinator, Welive Project), along with the DB Tech staff, participated in this gesture of new beginnings.

A melodious prayer song performed by the DB Tech girls set a serene atmosphere, invoking blessings for the success of the new batch.

Fr. Francis Shabu delivered an inspiring inaugural address that resonated deeply with all present. He proudly highlighted DB Tech Yadgir’s impressive record — successfully completing five batches and facilitating job placements for 91 students, each now earning an average salary of ?20,000 per month. More than numbers, he spoke about lives changed, families uplifted, and communities strengthened through the collective mission of Don Bosco. Addressing the new batch, he encouraged them to be “beacons of hope” and to carry forward the legacy of commitment, compassion, and competence.

The event took a joyous turn as the gathering came together to celebrate the post-birthday of Ms. Pratibha. The cake-cutting ceremony was filled with laughter and affection, as colleagues and trainees showered her with heartfelt wishes. Several guests took the moment to commend her unwavering dedication, sincerity, and the positive energy she brings to every initiative at DB Tech Yadgir.

In her brief but touching response, Ms. Pratibha expressed deep gratitude to the Don Bosco family for their kindness and shared how the mission of DB Tech continues to inspire her to give her best each day.

The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the guests, who appreciated the center’s consistent efforts in skill development and employment generation for rural youth. The atmosphere was filled with optimism, hope, and a renewed commitment to the shared vision of empowering India’s young workforce.

The day will be remembered not only as the start of a new academic journey for the CCE Non-Voice batch but also as a beautiful reminder of the values that define Don Bosco Tech — nurturing growth, celebrating dedication, and transforming lives with compassion and purpose.
