The Parents Meet for the ongoing IT Customer Care Executive (CCE) batch was successfully conducted at Don Bosco Tech, Yadgir, on 12th November 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The event served as a meaningful platform to strengthen the bond between parents, trainees, and the institution, while offering a transparent view of the journey their children are undertaking toward a sustainable and dignified livelihood.

The programme began with a warm and engaging welcome by the DB Tech Field Officer, Mr. Mallikarjun, who set the tone for the day with an insightful introduction to Don Bosco Tech and its mission. He spoke about the DB Tech project’s commitment to empowering rural youth through structured skill training, values-based education, and continuous employment support. Drawing from local success stories, he highlighted how the centre in Yadgir has been steadily transforming young lives by nurturing confidence, discipline, and professional readiness. His address resonated deeply with parents, many of whom were witnessing, perhaps for the first time, the larger vision behind their children’s training.

The session was followed by a detailed and interactive presentation by Ms. Pratibha, the IT CCE Domain Trainer. She provided parents with a clear understanding of the training curriculum, explaining how the programme goes beyond technical knowledge to focus on holistic development. Along with IT CCE domain training and basic computer skills, equal emphasis is placed on communication, workplace etiquette, and soft skills that are essential in today’s service-driven industry. She also shared how regular activities such as team-building exercises, confidence-enhancing tasks, mock interviews, and stage presentations help trainees overcome hesitation, improve self-expression, and develop a strong professional attitude.

Adding further clarity to the parents’ understanding, Ms. Dayana, the Digital Mitra Domain Trainer, presented a comprehensive overview of the placement process. She explained each step in detail, from identifying potential employers and collecting Letters of Intent, to scheduling interviews and guiding trainees until they receive their offer letters. Her transparent explanation reassured parents about Don Bosco Tech’s structured and committed approach toward securing meaningful employment for every trainee.

One of the most powerful moments of the meet was the address by the Centre Head, Father Shabu Francis. In his inspiring message, he urged parents to trust their children’s abilities and stand by them as they work toward a better future. His words, “Being born in poverty is not our fault, but dying in poverty without trying is our fault,” struck a deep chord with everyone present, reinforcing the belief that determination, effort, and opportunity can change the course of life. His message instilled hope, courage, and a renewed sense of purpose among parents and trainees alike.

The event became even more heartfelt when several trainees shared their personal experiences. They spoke about how the training at Don Bosco Tech had helped them overcome fear, improve communication, and envision themselves as confident professionals. Parents, moved by these testimonies, expressed their gratitude and emotions, acknowledging the positive transformation they had seen in their children. Many shared how the programme had brought new hope to their families and strengthened their belief in a more secure financial future.

The Parents Meet concluded on a warm and joyful note with tea and snacks, leaving behind an atmosphere filled with pride, motivation, and optimism. The event not only strengthened trust between Don Bosco Tech and the families it serves, but also reaffirmed the institution’s mission of empowering youth, uplifting communities, and building pathways to lasting change.
