The first task to do is a treading survey. Location is the most important factor in retail. Retail is very different from other industries. Operation people help to find perfect human resource needs. The five types of temperaments are (1) Sanguine (top right), (2) Choleric (bottom right),(3) Melancholy (bottom left), and (4) Phlegmatic (center), with the new fifth temperament (top left).
Sanguine personality type is described primarily as being highly talkative, enthusiastic, active, and social. Sanguines tend to be more extroverted and enjoy being part of a crowd; they find that being social, outgoing, and charismatic is easy to accomplish.
Someone with a choleric personality is typically extroverted, goal-oriented, and ambitious. As a result, many of them are natural-born leaders. However, they can also be short-tempered and even violent due to the nature of their personality.
Melancholic individuals tend to be analytical and detail-oriented, and they are deep thinkers and feelers. They are introverted and try to avoid being singled out in a crowd. A melancholic personality leads to self-reliant individuals who are thoughtful, reserved, and often anxious. The Phlegmatic is the most stable temperament. They are calm, easygoing people who are not plagued with emotional outbursts, exaggerated feelings, anger, bitterness, or unforgiveness as are other temperaments. They are observers who do not get involved nor expend much energy.
There are some competencies necessary to grow in the retail sector. Some emotional intelligence models are used in retail operations are self-awareness, self-motivation social skills, honesty, maturity, knowledge, etc. These emotional intelligence models are used to run operations. Three steps to build emotional intelligence are mind fullness, resilience, and compassion.
This session helped the students to identify how to choose career options in the retail sector, Challenge yourself with your knowledge to achieve the goal. The session ended by 1 pm with the vote of thanks.
