How to Deal With Your Teenage Life was held at the  D B Tech Classroom on 15/04/2021 from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. The class was taken by Mr. Binu George, Childline Coordinator, PSSS. About 23 students were present in the class. The various circumstance faced by women and a child in general, in society was presented. Then there was a group discussion on the given topics.

During this two hours session, he talked about traits of a Healthy relationship where good communication, respect, trust, honesty, and equality play an important role. He also mentioned the traits of an Unhealthy and Abusive relationship that lacks good communication, honesty, trust, respect, and which includes physical and emotional abuse. He continued with the cycle of abuse which starts with Tension building which includes fights and verbal abuse which is then followed by the second stage of the cycle, Physical abuse. Certain external influences lead to Reconciliation which is the third stage of the cycle. This is followed by the temporary Honeymoon period which is the fourth stage of the cycle and it includes giving gifts to each other. This stage does not last long and reverts to the first stage and the cycle continues. He further talks about how love is not just a mere emotion but a commitment towards the future.

The session ended with a video that showcased the impact of the Bollywood culture on Indian men. An example of this is the incident that took place in Australia where a case was filed on an Indian guy who was arrested for harassing two Australian women who justified himself by claiming that he learned it from a Bollywood movie

The students enjoyed the class well. There was a counseling section. They took part in all the sections enthusiastically section encouraged them their strength and weakness. They got a good motivation to move forward. The class was ended with great success. The class ended up at 1.30 pm.
