Mrs.Gracy Francis proceeded with the History of World Youth Skills Day. She gave valuable messages. December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring July 15 as World Youth Skills Day to achieve better Socio-Economic conditions for today's youth as a means to address the challenge of unemployment and underemployment. Since then, World Youth Skills Day events have provided a unique opportunity for dialogue between young people, technical and vocational education and training institutions, firms, employers’ and workers’ organizations, policymakers, and development partners. Geethu Angel Bosco(Center Coordinator cum Sales Associate Trainer) gave valuable messages. She said that as a broader theme this year, the United Nations on World Youth Skills Day 2021 pays tribute to the resilience and creativity of youth through the crisis. The last 18 months have been tough for the entire world but the young workforce who were looking ahead towards a better tomorrow were suddenly dealing with a lack of job opportunities, retrenchments, and witnessing an economic downturn. In most countries, the ambiguity and uncertainty regarding the future persist.

However, some industries see themselves emerging and moving towards recovery mode. As companies and countries look to bounce back, they look for talent and the right skills to enable their growth. It is time for the young workforce to make the most of this opportunity and keep an eye out for the in-demand skills. As employers, the organizations, on the other hand, have to start investing in the continuous growth and development of these young workforces and make them job-ready. Let’s explore how organizations should reimagine their skilling strategy for the young workforce and build a resilient & creative workforce of the future that helps them stay ahead of the curve. Students arranged some cultural programs about World Youth Skills Day, like Skit, History, Videos, Songs, Poems, Speech, etc.Trainees arranged a video presentation in such a manner, that it created awareness among other trainees. Several other programs were performed to make trainees understand the World Youth Skills Day.“The younger workforce needs to be able to adapt to change very quickly, innovate and find creative solutions to problems, stay steadfast on their ethics while at the same time manage their emotions and stress with high levels of maturity” Mrs. Geethu gave the vote of thanks and the session concluded by 1.00 pm with National Anthem.
