COMPREHENSIVE REPORT ON SPECIAL PROGRAMME & MINI CAREER FAIR / PLACEMENT DAY

As part of the ongoing DB Tech 20-year celebration, Don Bosco Tech, Sambalpur successfully organized two major activities on 21 November 2025 — a Special Programme followed by a Mini Career Fair / Placement Day. The event aimed to motivate trainees, strengthen collaboration with industry partners, and enhance placement opportunities for youth.

The day began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Sr. Mini and Sr. Mercy, marking the formal opening of the programme. This was followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing hope, positivity, and a fresh beginning for all participants.

Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests to the trainees and staff.

Both Sr. Mini and Sr. Mercy shared their enriching experiences of working with DB Tech since 2011. They spoke about the organization’s contributions toward transforming unemployed youth by providing skill training and helping them secure dignified employment.

Other invited guests also addressed the gathering, highlighting their association with DB Tech and appreciating the center’s continued efforts in the field of skill development and youth empowerment.

Several alumni attended the programme and shared their personal training journeys and work experiences. They expressed deep appreciation for DB Tech’s training, which enabled them to become self-reliant and support their families financially. Their stories served as strong motivation for the current trainees.

Employers Mr. Sanu Panda (RM Infosolutions), Mr. Amar Sharma (Sedinate Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), and Mr. Avinash Kerketta (Agrawal Printing Press) expressed great satisfaction with the performance of DB Tech alumni. They mentioned that DB Tech trainees are responsible, disciplined, and dedicated to their work.

A total of 40 students participated in the interviews, and several candidates were shortlisted. The fair strengthened industry relationships and opened new placement avenues for trainees.

The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Dilip Kumar Behera, Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, Mr. Lalgopal Nanda, and Mr. Dolagobinda Bisoee. Their collective efforts ensured the successful execution of both the programme and the job fair.

The day concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, who expressed gratitude to the chief guests, employers, alumni, trainees, and staff members for contributing to the event’s success.

This combined programme and Mini Career Fair not only celebrated DB Tech’s 20-year journey but also reinforced the center’s commitment to empowering youth through skill development and employment opportunities.
