"Report of  second Guest Lecture of Trainee Associate"

 Don Bosco Tech-Chitradurga has organized second guest lecture on “Marketing & Sale” for trainees Trainee Associate domain on  18th of December, 2019. Mr. Keshav, Marketing Head of Super Market Chitradurga, invited as a resource person for the day. Mrs. Shurthi (Trainer, Retail Marketing) introduced Mr.Keshav to the  trainees, then he started his conversation with trainees.

The session started with the brief introduction of sale and marketing as a job profile. He shared many inside stories which helped trainees to learn the facts. He gave many examples on advertisements related to marketing that how actually they attracted their customers and what are the strategies they were using at the time of sales.

He explained trainees that sales and marketing has a lot of career path. Explaining about marketing, he said, we educate the customer on all the items that they need to use to get the maximum benefit from the product which they intend to buy. He said when you speak to the customers, speak about the future benefits and how much will be the saving and its advantages. If the customer confirms to buy the product, then you can proceed to see the details of its being delivered, as per the desire of the customer.

In the later part of the session, he explained various job profiles offered to marketing trainees and the certifications which can be done along with training course to obtain an edge over others. Trainees interacted in the session with keen interest and raised questions about how to make career in the field of sale and responded to the questions of trainees.

Finally he spoke about selling additional products to a customer across different customer categories. It is about delivering higher satisfaction and value to the customer. He also gave information about Cost of product, Discount, price and  promotional activities.

Trainees were very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the session. The information which was provided by him was really useful  and valuable to trainees. Finally trainers and trainees  thanked the guest  for sharing his  knowledge and visiting the center.
