HIV/AIDS Awareness Program at Don Bosco Tech (Chitradurga)

Don Bosco Tech (Chitradurga) organised guest lecture on HIV/AIDS awareness on November 7, 2019. Mr. Javeed (Trainer, CRM Non-voice) invited the guests and the students. Mr. Nagaraj (Counsellor, Integrated Counselling and Testing Center, Chitradurga) was invited as the resource person for the event.
He spoke about the history of HIV/AIDS and explained the symptoms of the disease, how to identify and about being totally aware of this disease. The trainees were given the difference between HIV/AIDS patients and diabetic patients. Both are life long and have a prescribed diet by the physician, and they explained how it spread all over the world.
The different types of prevention methods were also clarified to trainees. The stage of this sickness was presented through PowerPoint presentations. Given real examples which they had experienced in their HIV community and explained the mentality and physical behaviour of the patients.
Finally he requested the students to pass the message to the people whom they know and not to hesitate to speak with HIV affected people. Trainees asked doubts and clarified with them and they felt happy to be part of this session because they got good knowledge about subject. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Anil student of PV Solar Technician domain.
