"Report Of Second Exposure Visit Of Trainee Associate"

Don Bosco Tech-Chitradurga has organized the second exposure visit and marketing scan activity for the trainees of trainee associate domain on 28th December 2019. Mrs. Shruthi (Trainer, Retail marketing) along with the trainees visited to “MORE” Holalkere road, in Chitradurga.

Mrs. Anusha, (Sales executive) slowly move on the topic that is Marketing Management. She explained about types of consumers, how to manage different types of consumers and what is the position of marketing area, how to motivate the customer to purchase a product, She solved some queries related to marketing. She showed the different kinds of food & grocery items like Rice, Biscuits, Soap, Chocolates, etc. which were fast moving products. The students asked for more explanation & clarification about the fast moving goods & she showed the difference between products of different brands.

 She shared information about first we need to understand the customer's wants, what product, for whom, likes & dislikes, etc. She said asking, listening & repeating in a sales interaction to get more information from the customer is essential. As sales assistants’ your job is to help customers buy items that fulfill their requirements. Knowing about the product features & benefits are helpful when communicating about a product with the customer.

In the visit we conducted a Market scan activity. The market scan was good and different experience for the trainees. Most of them had a good conversation with the Supervisor of retail sector. Totally it was a good experience for our trainees. Trainees observed each and every section being in the store. Then the trainees observed the Billing session, how to use Credit Cards, Sodexo cards in the field to pay the bills. The observation took place with the permission of HR. The billing process was also explained to the trainees like, how to enter the barcodes on the products etc.

The exposure visit & Market scan activity was very much beneficial to all the trainees as per there sharing.
