Don Bosco Tech Society (Chitradurga) welcomed the desire of CRM Domestic Non-Voice domain trainees’ to visit to Silicon Computers, situated at Holalkere road of Chitradurga. It was meticulously planned and the trip was taken on March 3, 2020, with the able guidance and support of Fr. Sony Mathew (Director, Chithra Don Bosco). Mr. Javeed (Trainer, BPO) accompanied the trainees to Silicon Computers.

Mr. Gopalswamy Nayaka (Director, Silicon Computers) and the team welcomed the trainees with an open arm. Mr. Javeed gave a brief information about Don Bosco Tech with a special mention to Chitradirga’s motives of skilling and empowering the deprived youth of the region. Later Mr. Somashekar (Manager, Silicon Computers) took his turn to explain the history, vision, mission, administrative structure and CSR activities of the establishment. He then touched upon the subject and explained what is all about BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), its processes, the difference between Voice and Non-Voice. He shared a data entry procedure with a demonstration as to how to enter the data in an application. Further, during the instruction differentiated between the input devices and output devices. He did explain the trainees the characteristics of MS-Office. Finally, he advised the trainees to focus on their learning.

Rapidly, the trainees sought clarification on some domain-specific doubts. Trainees were happy about the visit and they are thankful to Silicon Computers and its team for giving them this great opportunity to visit. It was such an informative visit for the trainees to understand various angles of BPO. The visit ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Krishna Naik (Trainee, CRM Domestic Non-Voice).
