The first parents’ meeting of Four Wheeler Service Technician (Batch No-260002) under VISTA  Year -1 project was held on 27 January 2026 at Don Bosco Tech, Rangajan, Assam, to orient parents on the training process, institutional expectations, and post-training placement procedures. Parents were briefed on their vital role in supporting trainees, the importance of discipline, and the need for close coordination between the institute and families throughout the training period. The meeting also served as a platform to clarify doubts and share key information on training modalities, rules, and future placements. Total 16 parents and 21 trainees were present for the meeting along with the center team.

Parents were informed that the institute follows strict rules aligned with a corporate working environment. The training is employment-oriented and prepares trainees for entry-level positions, usually with minimum starting salaries due to limited work experience. Placement is mandatory, often outside the Northeast, and trainees must be willing to relocate. Job offers are secured only after successful interviews, and completion of training alone does not guarantee employment or government jobs. Certificates are issued only after a minimum of six months of industry work.

Details regarding attendance, discipline, hostel regulations, mobile usage, health protocols, and assessment procedures were clearly explained. Parents were also briefed on training hours, hostel routines, fees related only to hostel facilities and travel for placement, and the institute’s zero-tolerance policy on substance use and misconduct. Emphasis was placed on grooming, communication skills, computer training, and overall personality development alongside domain-specific skills. The meeting concluded with refreshment and placement orientation by Ms. Anita Kapuh, placement coordinator.
