A guest lecture session was conducted for the trainees to create awareness and understanding about salary structure, employee benefits, and other important employment-related topics which will help them before entering the hospitality industry.
The session was conducted by Br Biju. He shared useful knowledge and practical information regarding employee salary systems, deductions, and benefits that are commonly followed in companies and hotels.s
During the session, the trainees were introduced to topics such as EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund), ESIC (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation), CTC, gross salary, net salary, and different types of deductions seen in salary slips.
The resource person explained the importance of EPF and how both the employee and employer contribute towards it every month. He also explained how EPF becomes useful for future savings and financial security after long-term employment.
The trainees were also informed about ESIC and the medical benefits provided under the scheme. Information regarding hospital treatment, medical support, and employee welfare under ESIC was discussed so that trainees could understand its importance while working in companies or hotels.
Special attention was given to explaining the difference between CTC, gross salary, and net salary. The speaker explained that CTC refers to the total amount spent by the company on an employee, while gross salary is the amount before deductions and net salary is the final take-home salary received after all deductions are made.
Different types of deductions such as EPF contribution, ESIC contribution, and other company deductions were also discussed. The trainees were shown how deductions are reflected in salary slips and why understanding these details is important for every employee.
As many trainees will soon go for jobs and placements, the session gave them a clear basic idea about salary systems and employee benefits in the professional workplace. The resource person also shared general industry insights and encouraged the trainees to work sincerely, maintain discipline, and continue learning while building their careers.
The session was interactive and informative. Trainees actively listened and raised questions related to salary expectations, deductions, and employee benefits. Overall, the guest lecture was very useful and helped the trainees gain practical knowledge which will support them in their future careers.

Q1.Can a staff take out the PF money with that PF account number even after resigning from the Organisation?
Answer – Yes the PF amount which is credited in your PF account is yours and you can take out the money anytime , even after leaving the organisation and joining another company.
