Report on Parent-Teacher Meeting
On December 21, 2024, Don Bosco Tech Society, Gurdaspur, conducted a meaningful parents' meeting aimed at strengthening the partnership between parents, trainees, and trainers. The event served as an important platform for open dialogue and collaboration to support the holistic development of the trainees.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from Mr. Jatinder Singh, Trainer of the Customer Care Executive – Domestic Non-Voice domain, who emphasized the vital role of parental involvement in both the academic and personal growth of students. A detailed presentation followed, outlining the institute’s curriculum, teaching methodologies, and upcoming activities. Trainers provided personalized updates on each trainee’s performance, highlighting their strengths and identifying areas for improvement. Emphasis was placed on the importance of discipline, punctuality, and participation in extracurricular activities to promote all-round development. Parents were encouraged to actively share their feedback, voice concerns, and offer suggestions for enhancing the training experience. Many expressed appreciation for the institute’s commitment to quality education and skill development. A few concerns regarding time management and specific vocational skills were raised and were noted for further action by the faculty. A special session on career counseling was also conducted, where experts guided parents on how to support their children in selecting career paths aligned with their interests, strengths, and aspirations. This session helped bridge the gap between parental expectations and trainees' goals, fostering better understanding and support.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a heartfelt request to parents to maintain consistent communication with trainers to effectively monitor and support their child’s progress. The gathering successfully fostered a sense of community and reaffirmed the shared mission of nurturing confident, capable, and well-prepared individuals ready to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
